Nagpur-Three Youths Innovated Cooler Which Requires 2 Litres Of Water

Ezycooler, an innovation created by Nagpur's three youths namely Pratik Harde, Prateek Malhotra and Ritu Malhotra, is probably the world's first smart cooler. This cooler needs only 2 liters of water and also no need of Khus (cooling pads).

Pratik Harde and his team, made a survey related to wastage of water and after few months, of survey they came with a shocking result. In the survey they found that maximum usage of water was in coolers, with a minimum percentage they calculated that approximately 5 crore coolers are used in India and every cooler consumes 60-150 litres of water every day.

In the survey they also found that 1 kg of  Khus is required for a cooler every year. So, 5 crore Kg of khus is used every year. From one tree 50 kg of khus is produced. That means 2000 acres of deforestation takes place every year due to cooler for khus.

Looking after these facts, the innovator team though of designing a low cost cooler which can consume less water and cooling pads.

The team took 6 months working on this technology and designed a most advanced cooler. The outcome of the product is that the cooler consumes 2 litres of water a day, no need of khus, it consumes 50% less power than conventional cooler. The coolers are available in two modules 1) movable and portable 2) wall mountaed.

Another smart feature of this cooler is that it can be operated from any place with the help of mobile phone application. With this a person in office can operate his house cooler.
